THE INITIATIVE has been created in order to ignite community activity and serve as a platform for a powerful social bond to be created within local communities regardless of race, gender, colour and creed. THE INITIATIVE is a collaboration between ARCARNA COLLECTVE SOCIETY and THE MGEN FOUNDATION

About the event
THE INITIATIVE MEAL-PACK MAKING UNDISCLOSED LOCATION (12:00am-3:30pm)
Please ask for location details if you would like to volunteer for meal-pack making.
12:00am Food making begins
- Food Making continues (with goal of making 200+ meal-packs)
- Donations station: boxes for clothing, toiletries, and blankets, as well as cooler boxes for food + meal packs.
3:30pm: Finish food making, pack-up meal-packs and donations and leave for Tower of Life Shelter & Tower of Hope Shelter.
THE INITIATIVE @ TOWER OF LIFE MENS SHELTER Â & TOWER OF HOPE WOMENS SHELTER(from 4pm-)
Tower of Life: 45 Rissik St, Krugersdorp.
Tower of Hope: 051 Burger St, Krugersdorp.
4:00pm Delivery of meal-packs begins.
- Delivery of meal-packs for the 90-110 men at Tower of Life Shelter.
- Delivery of meal-packs for the 40-50 women & children at Tower of Hope Shelter.
- Distributing of donations (clothes, toiletries, blankets) within the Tower of Life Shelter & Tower of Hope Shelter.

- Providing hand sanitiser and antibacterial soap for all volunteers to use frequently throughout the day. Â
- Providing additional gloves which volunteers will wear whilst delivering meal-packs and donations to the Tower of Life shelters. Â
- Limiting physical contact between volunteers and the residents of the shelters by dropping off food, & Â Â
- refraining from hand-to-hand meal-serving. Â
- Enforcing use of hand sanitiser and/or hand-washing before and after contact with each of the two Tower of Life shelters.
Any volunteers who are unwell or show any symptoms (e.g. coughing, sneezing, etc.) will be forcibly excused from participating in THE INITIATIVE.
